Merton Council’s Planning Committee has unanimously refused to grant permission for a proposed redevelopment of one of the last Edwardian houses on Wimbledon Hill Road, despite a recommendation from Council officers to approve it. The planning application sought to demolish the house and replace it with a five-storey block of flats.
