With no new news about TfL’s plans for the proposed Crossrail 2 line from Wimbledon to north London, we were beginning to wonder if it would ever happen.
Now, as part of the funding package agreed between the Government and London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, it has been announced that plans for Crossrail 2 are to be “shelved”. This is less than a complete cancellation and leaves open the possibility that it could be resurrected in the future.
