Michael Gove Urged to Call-In the St George’s House East Planning Application

We have written to Michael Gove, the Secretary of State for Levelling-Up, to urge him to “call-in” this planning application.
It would demolish the 7-storey St George’s House East building at the corner of Wimbledon Hill Road and St George’s Road and which was only built in the 1980s: and replace it with a 12-storey office block that would dominate that part of the town centre.
The proposal goes against local and national planning policies, yet Merton Council has approved the application and the Mayor of London declined to intervene to overturn Merton’s decision.
