What happens inside Wimbledon Museum?

Red Teddy
Red Teddy is a Christmas present from 1932. You can find out more about him, and other toys in the collections here.

Peek’s Peacock
The peacock used to live in the gardens of Wimbledon House, Parkside. It’s one of a number of stuffed animals in the museum.

Kings College Boy
The Museum has a number of objects relating to local schools, from school caps and ties to text books.

Air Raid Warden
The museums collection includes a number of objects from the Second World War, including an air raid warden’s armband, helmet, whistle, and torch.

Animals of Wimbledon Common
The Museum’s taxidermy collection also includes a squirrel, a badger, and a bat, all of which can be found on Wimbledon Common even today.
