The Wimbledon Society and Save Wimbledon Park are  pleased to report that our recent public meetings in April were very well attended – thank you to everyone who joined us.

At the meetings, we provided an update on progress and the legal situation in opposing the current plans put forward by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC). We continue to believe that AELTC should pause and reconsider its proposals.

Local architect Ken McFarlane and tennis “master planner” Richard Rees presented their alternative proposals for the former Wimbledon Park Golf Course. Their plans offer a more balanced solution to AELTC’s requirements, with reduced environmental impact and improved public access.
