The AELTC’s plans to build a new stadium plus 38 other tennis courts on the golf course land is a joint application to Merton and Wandsworth Councils.
Wandsworth Council’s website shows over 1,150 letters of objection. Merton does not show the number of objections but it is likely to be similar.
Some people may have written to both Councils: others to only one.
The petition to stop turning  Wimbledon Park Golf Course into  an ‘industrial tennis complex’ on the Save Wimbledon Park website now has over 11,620 signatures.
Although the official date for making comments of the application has now passed, Merton will still consider any representations made until they make a decision on the application.  That is still likely to be many weeks away.  So if you have not already commented you can still send an email to planning.representations@merton.gov.uk – state your name and address, the reference number 21/P2900 and your views on the proposals.
