We are delighted to annouce that the restored Sunnyside Transformer has been removed from Historic England’s ‘Heritage at Risk Register’. It was one of the first transformers to be installed in Wimbledon to distribute power to the local area.
We championed the restoration of this historic structure for many years and are so pleased to see it fully restored. Grateful thanks to UK Power Networks, who own it, the Heritage of London Trust and Merton Council.
