A developer is consulting on a proposed development that would include 8- and 14-storey apartment blocks on a site next to the Savacentre entrance off Merantun Way. This is a sensitive site with a riverside setting that adjoins the scant remains of the medieval Merton Priory. We feel that the proposed heights are too great for the setting.
