We are pleased to see the success of the pedestrian zone in the western limb of the High St at weekends and that this has allowed the Farmer’s Market to relocate there.
However, one consequence is that vehicles travelling along Southside towards the High St only find the road closed when they reach the corner of Lingfield Road and then have to turn round. So we have written to Merton Council suggesting that they place road signs warning of the road closure.
